A lack of understanding and profficent support surrounding perimenopause and menopause is costing the UK up to 10 billion pounds a year. For this reason, we developed the “Menopause at Work” campaign with renowned menopause doctor Louise Newson at Newson Health to help us better understand anyone going through perimenopause or menopause, to ensure they are better supported in the workplace and, in. turn, to provide guidance, training, and support for businesses.
Menopause and perimenopause can cause symptoms including anxiety, fatigue, mood swings, brain fog, headaches, hot flushes, and more. These symptoms may start years before periods stop, and go beyond, which can greatly impact working life.
We created a survey which had over 3000 responses within a 10 day period and the data we collected, both quantitative and qualitative was invaluable. Off the back of this research we have created a bespoke Menopause Advocacy service for businesses of all sizes.

If you don't have an effective menopause policy for your place of work, you are opening up your business up to substantial payouts.
Your senior and HR team needs to be aware of the symptoms and support surrounding menopausal health.
The benefits of supporting your menopausal employees mean you are better able to retain those skilled and experienced individuals in work and increase employee engagement. Organisations have a duty of care to their staff.
Failing to support your employees could also increase legal and financial risks and leave your organisation open to employment tribunal claims such as constructive unfair dismissal, sex and age discrimination and even disability discrimination.
Let us support you by auditing what you do to support your employees in this area, and coming up with a plan tailored to your business and specific industry and concerns. A menopause policy may be part of that but there is often more that needs to be done including leadership coaching, training and culture development.
